While I don’t share the conclusions of Felix Ponteil regarding Gratry’s philosophy, I appreciate the way he situates Gratry in the Alsace context of Bautain and Mlle Humann.
Ponteil’s article is also a good example of the lack of regard for Gratry as a philosopher in many circles and helps explain why he was largely forgotten for so long.
